Not every student qualifies for a flexi-job. Here you can read which condition applies and what it means for you.
Only if you meet the condition: in principle, you must have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or be retired. If you are a student without that 4/5, you do not meet the condition.
A flexi-job is a side job for employees and retirees. So first check whether you meet the condition before you search any further.
As a student, you may want to earn some extra money alongside your studies. A flexi-job and a student job are two different schemes. On this page you can read what applies to a flexi-job and what that means if you are studying.
Outside hospitality, your flexi pay must be at least the sectoral minimum wage for the job; hospitality has a separate minimum. On top of your flexi pay you receive 7.67% flexi holiday pay. On your flexi pay you pay no employee social security contributions, and up to 18,440 euros (income year 2026) no tax either; above that amount, the excess is taxed. That ceiling does not apply to retirees.
You may not combine a regular job and a flexi-job with the same employer. Separate rules apply to related companies.

If you worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, you meet the condition and can, in principle, do a flexi-job alongside your studies.
Then you do not meet the condition for a flexi-job.
Then you do not meet the condition. The 4/5 can, however, come from work for one or more other employers.
