What is a flexi-job exactly?

A flexi-job is a way to earn extra tax-free, up to €12,000 per year. You must work at least 4/5 for another employer. That job cannot be the same as your flexi-job. So if you work as an office employee during the day, you can easily do jobs as a flexi in construction in the evening or on weekends.

Why is the construction sector so suitable for flexi workers?

The social security contribution remains reduced, the salary cap remains €12,000, and the waiting period of two quarters before you can start with a previous employer also remains. In short, just keep doing what you were doing.
