From courier to truck driver: here you can read what a flexi-job as a driver involves, which rules apply and how to start through the job match.
As a flexi-jobber, you can work as a driver, for example as a parcel courier, as a B driver or as a C/CE driver at a transport company. Since 1 July 2026, flexi-jobs have been possible in almost all sectors; whether a flexi-job is possible for a given job depends on the rules of the sector. You must also have the required diplomas and qualifications, which for a driver includes the license the job requires.
Your flexi pay must be at least the sectoral minimum wage for the job. On top of your flexi pay you receive 7.67% flexi holiday pay. On your flexi pay you pay no employee social security contributions, and up to 18,440 euros (income year 2026) no tax either; above that amount, the excess is taxed. That ceiling does not apply to retirees.
In principle, you must have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or be retired. You may not combine a regular job and a flexi-job with the same employer. Separate rules apply to related companies.
