How many flexi-job hours per week can you work? A flexi employment contract can be full-time or part-time, for a fixed period or for a clearly defined task. So you can also do a flexi-job alongside a part-time job, if you meet the condition: for a flexi-job, you must in principle have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or be retired. If you are a student or jobseeker and did not work at least 4/5 in that quarter, you do not meet the condition. You cannot combine a regular job and a flexi-job with the same employer.
For tax purposes, what counts is not the number of hours but your flexi-wage. On your flexi-wage you pay no employee contributions, and no tax up to 18,440 euros (income year 2026); anything above that is taxed. That ceiling does not apply to retirees. If you are retired and have reached neither the legal retirement age nor 45 years of career, from 2026 you can earn at most 8,121 euros a year with a flexi-job. Your flexi-wage must be at least the minimum wage that applies to your job. You can read more about the conditions in the flexi-job rules.
