On this site you can also read how a flexi-job works: who it is for and what you earn. With a flexi-job you earn something extra alongside your main job or your pension. On your flexi-wage you pay no employee contributions, and no tax up to 18,440 euros (income year 2026); anything above that is taxed. That ceiling does not apply to retirees.
To do a flexi-job, you must in principle have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or be retired. If you are a student or jobseeker without that 4/5, you do not meet the condition. Whether a job requires experience differs from one vacancy to another.
Pay differs from one job and sector to another. Outside hospitality, your flexi-wage must be at least the minimum wage that applies in the sector for your job; hospitality has a separate minimum. You are also entitled to flexi holiday pay: 7.67% of your flexi-wage. You can ask your job adviser at Experza what a vacancy pays. More about flexi-job pay.
