Weekend Flexi-Job: Choose Your Ideal Weekend Job

Frequently Asked Questions About Weekend Flexi-Jobs

• Is a flexi-job paid double on Sunday?▾

Not automatically. Flexi-jobbers are in principle entitled to allowances and premiums in the same way as other employees, provided they meet the conditions of the rule or collective agreement that grants them. Whether there is a Sunday premium therefore depends on the rules of the sector. Questions about the pay for a vacancy? Contact your job adviser at Experza.
• How can I earn money on the weekend?▾

With a flexi-job, if you meet the conditions. In principle, you must have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or be retired. You can then work as a waiter or warehouse worker on Saturday or Sunday, for example. No employee contributions are due on your flexi-wage. On your flexi-wage, you only pay tax on what you earn above 18,440 euros a year (income year 2026), and that ceiling does not apply to retirees.
• Am I entitled to extra pay if I work on Saturday?▾

Not automatically. As a flexi-jobber, you are in principle also entitled to a premium that other employees receive, if you meet the conditions of the rule or collective agreement that grants it. Whether you get more for Saturday work therefore depends on the sector and the agreements in the joint committee.
• What are the best-paid flexi-jobs?▾

That depends on the job and the sector. Outside hospitality, your flexi-wage must at least match the pay scale for your position and may not be higher than 150% of the minimum sector wage; hospitality has its own minimum and maximum. For a specific vacancy, feel free to ask your job adviser at Experza what the pay is.
• Can I combine a flexi-job with my main job?▾

Yes, that's exactly the point. In principle, however, you must already have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before your flexi-job; if you are retired, that is not required. In principle, you cannot combine a regular job and a flexi-job with the same employer. Anything you earn above 18,440 euros of flexi-wage (income year 2026) is taxed; that ceiling does not apply to retirees.
• Do I need experience for a weekend flexi-job?▾

Not necessarily. Many weekend jobs (dishwasher, runner, shop assistant) require no specific experience. Passion, willingness to work, and a customer-friendly attitude are often enough.

On the homepage you can see recent flexi-job vacancies from Experza. If nothing suits you, fill in the application form.
• Can I also do a flexi-job at night on the weekend?▾
