Yes, you can do a flexi-job while working part-time, as long as you work at least 4/5th for your main employer. You can then earn up to €12 per hour tax-free, without it affecting your benefits or part-time advantages.

Please note: in the context of your main job, you must have been employed at least 4/5th of a full-time position in the quarter preceding your flexi-job. If you work half-time, for example, you are not eligible, unless you are retired or fall under an exception. Always check the official flexi-job conditions on the NSSO website.

A flexi-job is a flexible side job in sectors such as hospitality, care or retail, allowing you to earn up to €12 net per hour. The beauty: your wage is completely tax-free and you pay no social contributions yourself. For those already working part-time (at least 4/5th), it is an ideal way to build something extra without tax disadvantages.
To be eligible, you must have worked at least 4/5th for another employer in the quarter before your flexi-job. You cannot take a flexi-job at the same company where you have a permanent job. In addition, you must complete the official Limosa procedure, but your employer usually handles that. View all conditions for a flexi-job.
Flexi-jobs are most strongly represented in hospitality, but since 2024 also in care and childcare. Wholesale and retail, the food industry, and agriculture and horticulture also offer plenty of opportunities. Discover the exact flexi-job sectors for 2025. From 1 January 2026, the sectors will expand to include education, culture and sport, among others, an opportunity for even more part-time workers.
The net wage per hour is a maximum of €12 (indexed amount 2025). Your employer pays a limited NSSO contribution, but you receive the full gross wage net. No withholding tax is deducted. Note: with a flexi-job you do not build up additional social rights such as pension or holiday pay; it is purely an extra on top of your regular income.
For the flexi-job itself there is no cap on hours; you may work as many flexi-hours as you want. The only condition is that your main job meets the 4/5th standard. Some part-time workers combine two or three flexi-employers this way. Just be careful not to overwork yourself, of course.
From 1 January 2026, the flexi-job system will be expanded. New sectors such as education, culture and non-profit will be added. The NSSO declaration will also be simplified.
