Here you can read in which service sectors a flexi-job is possible, which conditions apply and how to find a flexi-job from Experza via this site.
Since 1 July 2026, a flexi-job has been possible in almost all sectors; whether it is possible for a given job depends on the rules of the sector. Flexi-jobs are not allowed for domestic workers (JC 323), agriculture (JC 144) and, with a few exceptions, funeral directors (JC 320), horticulture (JC 145) and sea fishing (JC 143).
In 2026, sectors can apply every quarter to opt out of flexi-jobs.
A flexi-job is a side job alongside your main job or your pension. To do a flexi-job, you must in principle have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or be retired. If you are a student or jobseeker without that 4/5, you do not meet the condition. On your flexi-wage you pay no employee contributions, and no tax up to 18,440 euros (income year 2026); anything above that is taxed. That ceiling does not apply to retirees. The employer pays an employer contribution of 28% on the flexi-wage.
In the cleaning sector (JC 121), unions and employers want to limit flexi-jobs to retirees, so check what currently applies there.
