A flexi-job via interim is a flexi-job that you do through a temp agency, alongside your main job or your pension. The condition: in principle, you have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or you are retired. You pay no employee social security contributions on your flexi-wage, and you only pay tax above the ceiling of 18,440 euros a year (income year 2026): the amount above it is taxed. For retirees, that ceiling does not apply.
Since 1 July 2026, one and the same temp agency may employ you both as a regular temp worker and as a flexi-jobber, provided this does not happen at the same user company in the same quarter. Since 1 July 2026, a flexi-job has been possible in almost all sectors; whether it is possible for a given job depends on the rules of the sector.
