In principle, yes. Since 1 July 2026, a flexi-job has been possible in almost all sectors, and hospitality is not among the sectors where flexi-jobs are not allowed. Whether it is possible for a given job depends on the rules of the sector. The condition: in principle, you have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or you are retired. You pay no employee social security contributions on your flexi-wage, and you only pay tax above the ceiling of 18,440 euros a year (income year 2026): the amount above it is taxed. For retirees, that ceiling does not apply.

In hospitality, flexi pay has its own minimum and an upper limit. On your flexi-wage you pay no employee contributions, and no tax up to 18,440 euros (income year 2026); anything above that is taxed. That ceiling does not apply to retirees. You are also entitled to flexi holiday pay: 7.67% of your flexi-wage. Read more on our page about flexi-job pay.
First check whether you meet the condition. To do a flexi-job, you must in principle have worked at least 4/5 for one or more other employers in the third quarter before the flexi-job, or be retired. If you are a student or jobseeker without that 4/5, you do not meet the condition. Then fill in the application form with, among other things, your province, desired region and availability.
